Hello Classmates (Cohort 5)

I am Isiaka (pronounced easyaka) Almaroof.

Hello everyone:

My name is Isiaka Almaroof. I am currently a Licensed Graduate Social Worker in DC, and one of Cohort 5. My undergraduate degree is in Graphic Arts and my graduate degree is in Social Work. Put together, I have 29 years of practice between both disciplines. I love to design, to professionally help others and to write. I searched for a discipline to put together these educational and professional backgrounds and found it in Publishing. My 'favourite book' is the dictionary because it contains words, their meanings, and illustrations, where applicable.

I look excitingly forward to a training in publishing so that I too can contribute to the exciting future of Publishing, particularly in this electronic age. My interests are diverse and I am reasonably competitive. Left to me, every one should have the opportunity to compete, find own true calling, be fulfilled and ultimately be content with own life. I look forward to meeting in the classroom.
